Increasing the reach of your inclusive opportunities through the power of the Paralympics.

With the upcoming Paralympics, we’re working with imin and Parasport to increase visibility for inclusive sport and activities across the UK.

The 2021 Paralympic Games starts on the 24th August. With thousands of athletes from over 100 countries, it is one of the biggest international sporting events in the world. The Games will have high levels of visibility and exposure through Channel 4, the web and social media, and Parasport is making the most of this opportunity to promote inclusive activities.

Parasport, developed by Paralympics GB in partnership with Toyota, is the new way to discover inclusive local opportunities to become more active. Parasport’s ambition is to create the UK’s biggest community for players, parents and coaches to share their experiences of para sport, and find useful hints, tips and information on what’s happening near you.

A Big Opportunity for Providers of Inclusive Activities

Parasport has been working with imin and OpenActive to implement ‘open data’. This means that information about inclusive activities can be shared everywhere online. Getting these opportunities visible on search engines, activity finders and websites makes them easier to find and means more people can get involved in para sport.

If you are a provider of inclusive activities, you can use the power of open data combined with the exposure of the Tokyo Paralympic Games to reach hundreds of disabled people in your community this Summer. How to Promote Your Inclusive Activities Using Playwaze

Playwaze makes it simple for you to open up your data.

When creating your Activity on Playwaze, look out for the promotion and publishing page, all you need to do is make sure you have ticked the box that says “I would like this activity to be published and promoted on all public activity finders.”

Now your activity will be visible on public activity finders, meaning more people in your community will be able to get involved.
